The section of pediatric cardiology, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan is a well-known team in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart disease in southern Taiwan. Our team has got the honor of 2014 symbol of national quality, Taiwan. We set up congenital structural heart disease center, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan on September 5, 2014. The number and success rate of various congenital heart surgeries, especially operation for complex congenital heart disease are among the best of Taiwanese published data. The result of the interventional catheterization therapy in our team is also very well. We can perform various interventional catheterization therapy, including occlusion of atrial septal defect, occlusion of ventricular septal defect, occlusion of patent ductus arteriosus, balloon valvuloplasty, stent dilatation, and ablation of arrhythmia, etc. Our team comprises pediatric cardiologists and congenital cardiovascular surgeons experienced in handling various congenital heart diseases, even the most complex cases.
